A Movie Worth Your Time: The Help

Just saw "The Help" a couple days ago...incredible!
I've never seen a movie about slavery that was funny and serious at the same time!
The way those maids had to go to work everyday and do whatever their boss told them to do and they couldn't defend themselves or explain.  They just had to stand there and take the demeaning way the white people, at the time, looked at them.
They had to accept their life the way it was and no one could or would change it.
It's not like they liked their lives, but at the same time they didn't know how to make it different or
what to do after it was different.
Because of the color of their skin, they were treated like animals.
If someone felt different, "they" were the wrong ones.
Like, if you thought someone was more important then most people thought or
if you felt more important then most people thought you were, it was unheard of.
Whether you were standing up for yourself or if you were standing up for someone else,
 there was no right answer.

To think that there are still people that think this way today,
it's just not right.  No one should be treated like that.
If you haven't seen this movie you need to.
It will really make you think!

The main actress "Emma Stone" was excellent in this movie.
She brings a cool new flair to the screen!

I love Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer playing the maids!

True pros!!

Go and see "The Help!"
And remember..."You is kind, you is smart, you is important!!"
