Every time I'm really tired and just not feeling it I get out my trusty overalls.
Come on girls, you know what I'm talking about.
Had a hard week at work, been putting outfits together all week and you just want something super easy...oh yeah, overalls.
I just love how versatile they are, you can put them with sandals or kicks to make them the cutest most comfy outfit ever. You can also (depending on what kind of overalls you have) put them with booties or some classy flats to make them a very hipster kickass look.
As long as I'm wearing overalls I like them any way.
But they are one of my go-to airplane outfits. I mean they're perfect, they're comfy, versatile cool in the summer and you can layer with a sweater in the winter. Most of all I don't think I've said this yet...THEY ARE CUTE!
I have yet to find a book or movie that this man has wrote or made that I don't completely agree with. Dinesh D'Souza has an amazing way of making you think, of getting you to stop defending what you "think" is the truth and to just look at the FACTS. He has opened my eyes to always taking everything with a grain of salt. I know you have to study hard and to dig deep to find the truth about your country in order to defend your country. You will see these traits in abundance in Dinesh D'Souza's books and movies.
Now if you don't happen to know his movies let me give you the list...
1. 2016 Obama's America
2. America: Imagine the World Without Her
3. Hillary's America
I am slowly reading his many books, which I'm sure each and everyone of them will knock my socks off just like all of his movies did.
Oh my word this movie was mind blowing. I saw it Sunday and I was frantically trying to keep up because I was learning so much. Things I had wrong, things I didn't even know. Let me tell you I'm the first one to say I was wrong if I am, but this movie, I'm telling you, you can learn so much...for instance...
Did you know that people in the democratic party started the KKK?
Did you know that a member (Margaret Sanger) of the KKK started Planned Parenthood AND not to give women a choice, but to sterilize the black community?
Did you know that at the time of the Civil War (1861) there wasn't one single republican that owned slaves?
Did you know that the republican party fought for the freedom of the slaves and the democratic party fought for prolonging slavery?
That's definitely NOT what the democratic party is saying now....
And hey if you disagree I'll say again, I have no problem digging into this stuff more and finding who's right. I'm okay with being wrong...are you???
But I've got to say, Dinesh D'Souza was right about Obama in 2016 Obama's America and I've found the same truths in my own studying of our history as he brings them to light in his movies.
He has done his part to get the word out there and now it's our turn.
Whether you are republican or democrat...whatever color you are....whatever religion you are...we all need to see this movie.
So let's go get those tickets. "Hillary's America" came out on the 22nd of July...
I'll be watching right along side of you all...because I will be going again ;P
I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely love salsa and chips. It's the perfect snack and definitely a family favorite. However, I have never bought an organic brand of salsa at the store before and sadly don't always have time to make salsa myself. So I went on a mission...I wanted to eat organically but I didn't want to deprive myself of something I love to eat, all in moderation of course. And I found it, a scrumptious, full of flavor, nice and spicy, not too chunky, organic salsa and at my local HEB of all places. Didn't even have to go to the heath food store. Exciting find. I encourage you guys to go try some. They have mild, medium, and hot to suit how spicy you like your salsa. Enjoy!
I'm not going to say that eating organically is easy. So I'm taking it day by day, one change at a time. Just finding stores that offer organic options is a huge challenge. In culinary school the most important lesson I learned was to make delicious food that not only is healthy for you but also makes your taste buds jump for joy. The first thing I look for when I'm at the grocery store is the USDA seal.
This seal is very important because to get the organic USDA seal is not easy to do. It means any food product that has the seal has to be regularly inspected. My purchasing class taught me to pay extra attention to labels, say like, if a box says "Natural" that doesn't necessarily mean it's good for you. Just putting the word natural on a box doesn't mean they get inspected regularly like the USDA seal. Also be careful if you see the word "organic" without the seal, most likely that means there is only a percentage of organic ingredients in the product. So far my goal is if it is meat/milk/eggs it has to be organically grown, cage free, hormone free and USDA seal approved. And believe you me that is a big goal to keep. Now don't get me wrong I still have fast food every now and then but thankfully I am passionate about feeding my body with as much raw foods as I can and living a much more healthier and happier life. Peace guys.
So I went to old navy this week and hit the jackpot.
I really try to find good bargains and with being a part time student and having a part time job...I'm kind of on a tight budget. Being a grownup is "miserable and magical all at the same time."
Taylor Swift shout out! But, I digress.
To me if you can find an outfit that is cheap but doesn't look cheap...you've succeeded. Now I still like to buy Nike sport bras for 24.99 each but it's nice to not be broke all the time...just kidding.
So my new additions to my wardrobe are,
#1 a blue cosy Indian aspired shirt.
Some black leggings and a cup of coffee and I'm set.
#2 nothing like a stylish black T and some green linen shorts.
Perfect outfit to hang out with girl friends or to go to the food market.
#3 come on, USA shirt, golden for 4 of July.
#4 last but not least, another workout shirt and only for 8.00$. Can't beat that.
Well I just had to share my awesome finds with you all.
